The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Managing development teams in mainframe technology. This involves code reviews, status reviews and managing delivery expectations.
- Willing to be hands-on, code, design based on user requirements
- Recommend system improvements that will add value to business users and improve system stability
- Support issues that arise in Production and join business calls as necessary
- Providing regular status updates to the manager and work with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of IT experience
- Expertise in Mainframe environment covering COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL and zAPIs
- 3+ years of experience in banking Industry
- 3+ years of leading Mainframe development teams
- Working experience in a multi tech stack environment with Java front end and mainframe on the backend.
- Good communicator and capable of handling stakeholders in other regions
- Exposure to wealth management platforms is a plus. Willing to learn new tech stacks in the future as we modernize the Citi wealth platform
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
