Responsibilities:

As a Mainframe Developer, you will participate in the development, support, maintenance, and technological evolution of critical applications in Mainframe environments.

You will collaborate with technical and functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into reliable and scalable Mainframe solutions.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
• Work with both Batch and Online development processes.
• Develop and execute SQL queries within Mainframe environments.
• Provide support and maintenance for business-critical applications.
• Manage and resolve production incidents, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Participate in application development, maintenance, and technological evolution initiatives.
• Work with Control-M or equivalent process scheduling tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to technical discussions, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in Mainframe development.
• Experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and SQL.
• Experience with Batch and Online development.
• Experience supporting and maintaining critical applications.
• Experience managing production incidents.
• Previous participation in development and technology evolution projects.
• Experience in banking or financial environments.

Nice to have:

• IMS DB / IMS DC.
• MQ Series / IBM MQ.
• Mainframe version control tools.
• Agile methodologies.
• DevOps practices for Mainframe.
• Functional knowledge of banking processes.
• Experience with payments, accounts, cards, credits, or risk-related processes.

Location: Mexico City or Mérida, Mexico.
