The Mail and Scanning Processor is responsible for working in a fast-paced Mail Room environment, handling all inbound and outbound mail and deliveries, sorting and scanning of medical forms, shredding, and other mailroom activities.

 

Job Details:

-In office at 6535 North State Highway 161, Irving, TX 75039

-Monday to Friday schedule

 

What Will You Be Doing: 

  • Open mail and print reports and faxes. 

  • Perform comprehensive detailed sorting of mail, reports and faxes. 

  • Scan all mail, reports and faxes according to specific types and instructions.

  • Receive and log all special deliveries including FedEx, UPS, and certified mail. 

  • Distribute, deliver and assist with mail, packages and boxes internally. 

  • Support other departments in folding, stuffing and posting of special mailings. 

  • Provide additional scanning support to other departments. 

  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of all mailroom equipment. 

  • Participate in a shredding maintenance program. 

  • Return x-rays received with dental claims 

Qualifications

  • General office skills required for basic use of office equipment and a computer 

  • High school diploma or GED 

  • Good verbal and written communication skills are needed. 

  • Knowledge of mailroom equipment and shipping procedures preferred. 

  • Prior scanning experience preferred. 

  • Knowledge of medical claims forms preferred.

General Physical Demands

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
