About Polymarket

Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized "house," Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future.

We're growing fast — both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.

About the Role

Polymarket is looking for a Macro Markets Lead to own everything related to macroeconomic, financial, and geopolitical markets across both Polymarket US (off-chain) and Polymarket International (on-chain). You'll be responsible for the full macro vertical: coverage, liquidity, resolution frameworks, data integrity, and strategic partnerships — bringing together the instincts of a macro trader with the precision of a product manager.

This is a hands-on, high-leverage role for someone who understands how macro trading and event-driven markets behave under the hood — data, releases, models, latency, liquidity, market structure, and flow. You'll work directly with the Head of Markets, partnering closely with liquidity providers, engineers, compliance, economists, and data vendors to make Polymarket faster, deeper, and more accurate than traditional macro venues and forecasting shops.

What You'll Do
  • Own the macro vertical — from CPI prints and Fed decisions to GDP forecasts, labor data, and geopolitical risk events

  • Expand coverage: identify and prioritize macroeconomic releases, financial events, and global catalysts worth listing; design systematic and discretionary pipelines for new macro markets

  • Drive liquidity by collaborating with leading market makers and trading firms to structure incentives, fees, and quoting standards for high-volume macro markets

  • Build reliable, transparent resolution systems using official government data, economic releases, and automated feeds

  • Integrate data sources — work with economics data providers, financial APIs, and government datasets to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and resilience

  • Shape partnerships with data firms, economic research institutions, financial media, and macro-adjacent platforms

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and compliance to launch macro features that meet regulatory and technical expectations

  • Monitor volume, spreads, participation, and latency across macro markets and relentlessly optimize them

What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years in macro trading, economic forecasting, derivatives markets, or event-driven research

  • Deep understanding of liquidity mechanics, market microstructure, and forecasting models used in macro contexts

  • Strong technical fluency — able to spec APIs, debug data feeds, interpret economic releases, and collaborate with engineering teams

  • Product sensibility — you think in systems, incentives, user flows, and feedback loops

  • Comfort navigating regulated and unregulated environments simultaneously

  • High-agency mindset and appetite for ownership; thrives in fast-moving, informationally dense environments

  • (Plus) Experience at a regulated exchange, derivatives venue, or DCM/DCO

  • (Plus) Background in quantitative research or market-making

  • (Plus) Existing relationships with macro data vendors, economists, or research desks

  • (Plus) Deep obsession with macroeconomics, markets, and the interplay between data and price

Benefits
  • Competitive salary & equity

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Full Health, Vision, & Dental coverage

  • 401k match

  • Hardware setup: new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories
