Starting Pay: $29/hr

  
Location: 910 Elm St, Mckinney, Tx, 75069

Schedule: 7am - 7pm, Monday - Friday. Night and Weekends as needed.

Position Overview:
Encore Wire is one of the nation’s top copper and aluminum wire manufacturers, outfitting residential, commercial and industrial spaces across the US for a customer base that would blow your mind! Producing over $1 billion of wire every year, with over 1,300 employees and almost 2 million sq. ft. of manufacturing space under our roof, we want to continue our history of growth. Encore is seeking an individual who is looking to join the Maintenance Team. In this role, you will be working as a Machinist in our Machine Shop.

Job Responsibilities:
Read blueprints and/or fabricate parts from samples
Work effectively in a team environment
Maintain a safe and organized workspace

Operate manual machine shop equipment, including:

  • Knee mills
  • Lathes
  • Surface grinders
  • Saws
  • Hoist
  • Drill press
  • Morrison key seater
  • Forklift

Job Requirements: 

High school diploma or GED 

Ability to read and write in English 

Own tools

Ability to work nights and weekends

Basic computer skills

Preferred: Minimum 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment

Note: This position does not involve CNC equipment

Physical Requirements 

This position involves: 

  • Repetitive movement 

  • Frequent walking throughout the facility 

  • Kneeling, crouching, and stooping 

  • Use of hands to operate tools, parts, and equipment 

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. while bending, twisting, and standing
