Machine Operator Blender 1st and 2nd shifts

Shift: This role is 1st Shift, 4:45 AM-4:45 PM

Hourly Rate: $22.63 an hour

Job Summary:

The Blender will perform a variety of tasks including completing required paperwork, verifying and blending ingredients into sauces according to instructions, inspection of work environment including sanitizing equipment and ensuring the blend room has no condensation, cleaning machine parts, tools, utensils and work area ensuring good housekeeping and 5S standards are met.

Starting pay up to $22.63 per hour + Attendance Bonus! ($0.50 for first shift and $0.60 for second shift)

You will be onsite at the facility located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. As a blender, you will report to the operations team.

You Will:

• Work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position
• Read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English
• Work individually or with others as a team at all levels
• Perform intermediate math functions in English
• Push or pull up to 50 lbs. repetitively
• Weigh-up ingredients
• Be LOTO Certified

Job Responsibilities:

• Obtain all required paperwork for shift
• Check pipes and doors for loose parts
• Dry condensation in blend room
• Sanitize equipment
• Review requisition and batch sheets to ensure all items and quantities received are correct
• Perform scale audits and complete batch checklist
• Measure and blend ingredients into sauce according to batch sheet instructions
• Monitor blending process
• Clean machine parts, tools, utensils and work area ensuring good housekeeping and 5S standards are met
• Complete all required paperwork and document critical data
• May perform general labor tasks as assigned

You Have

• Knowledge of GMP's and food allergens
• Identify Critical Control Points (CCP)
• Knowledge of the 5S concept
• Basic knowledge of computers
• Work with pork, chicken, beef and shellfish products in addition to many other ingredients and allergens

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: Minimum 3 months production or related experience preferred.
