Machine Learning Engineering Intern

About the Role:

PROS is seeking a Machine Learning Engineering Intern who is passionate about machine learning, artificial intelligence, and coding. In this role, you will collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to design and develop AI solutions that enhance the PROS Platform. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with machine learning models and frameworks, proficiency in Python for handling large datasets, and familiarity with large language model (LLM) frameworks for solving complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the AI Research and Software Engineering teams to implement AI agents across various applications on the PROS Platform.
• Design and develop scalable, robust machine learning solutions.
• Implement robust evaluation metrics to assess model performance.
• Fine-tune model parameters and experiment with different algorithms to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare, clean, and transform raw data to create high-quality inputs for machine learning models.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and potential areas for model improvement.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field and planning to graduate by August 2026.
• Strong foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
• Proficient in Python and experienced with ML libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Transformers, and Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) models.
• Familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, Spark, and SQL is a plus.
• Understanding of LLM frameworks like OpenAI's GPT, Mistral, Google's Gemini, Llama, or similar technologies is highly desirable.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly Databricks and Azure, is an advantage.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation in AI.
