Staff Machine Learning Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE:

HiddenLayer is entering an exciting new chapter in our company history and we are seeking a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer to help architect and scale our ML infrastructure. In this high-impact role, you'll build mission-critical systems that accelerate the research and deployment of cutting-edge ML models central to our mission of securing artificial intelligence across the enterprise.

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will spearhead the development of robust MLOps pipelines, scale our data platform for reliability and performance, and collaborate closely with data scientists and product engineers to seamlessly integrate innovative models into our security solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in transforming HiddenLayer's industry-leading research into deployable, production-ready systems that provide unparalleled AI security to our clients.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Design and implement scalable MLOps infrastructure with clean, maintainable, and testable Python code that meets production standards
• Transform research prototypes into reproducible, version-controlled model training pipelines, bridging the gap between data science experimentation and production deployment
• Architect and optimize workflow orchestration using Metaflow to streamline model training, evaluation, and deployment processes
• Scale our data platform leveraging Apache Iceberg to handle increasing data volumes while maintaining query performance and data integrity
• Develop efficient data ETL pipelines that prepare diverse datasets for model training and evaluation
• Collaborate across teams to establish best practices for ML development, testing, and deployment

• A proven ML Engineer with experience shipping production-ready machine learning systems that deliver measurable business impact
• A technical leader with expertise in Python, MLOps tools, and modern data infrastructure who stays current with evolving best practices
• A collaborative team player who excels at translating complex technical concepts across different stakeholders and values open communication
• A self-driven problem-solver who thrives in ambiguous environments and can create structure where little exists
