Internship Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate Machine Learning Engineer I Intern to join our Pricing Data Science team for Summer 2025! Our team is pivotal in designing, implementing, and deploying machine learning models to tackle complex challenges like anomaly detection, establishing dynamic guardrails, and reducing volatility in our pricing operations. We generate algorithmic prices for tens of thousands of products daily, ensuring the publication of error-free and validated prices—an essential aspect of our business. You'll have the opportunity to work with our expert team members in machine learning and cloud technologies, focusing on deploying solutions that integrate seamlessly with our big data architecture. Join us in developing backend ML frameworks tailored to diverse pricing problems and building engineering pipelines that streamline model deployment.
Intern Timeframe: June 2, 2025 – August 8, 2025 (must be available for the full duration)
Qualified Students: Current 1st year Master’s student with anticipated graduation of Spring 2026
What You'll Do
- Tackle one or two critical pricing business problems by selecting appropriate Generative AI (Gen AI) or machine learning solutions, designing, testing, and implementing these solutions into reliable frameworks
- Collaborate with and work under the guidance of senior team members to handle big data and predictive applications during the development and implementation phases, gaining valuable industry insights
- Contribute to the codebase by implementing and testing machine learning solutions using programming languages like Python or Java, and identifying and resolving bugs in the model development process
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to fine-tune and improve code quality while learning best practices in software development
- Assist in training existing machine learning models and monitor data quality in both development and production environments to ensure optimal platform performance
- Perform basic data analysis to identify patterns, refining and cleaning data to enhance model building
What You'll Need
- Enrolled full-time in a Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2026
- Fundamental understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala).
- Basic knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software development principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Bonus:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, including tools like SageMaker, Redshift, or Snowflake
- Exposure to machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
- Experience with big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop
- Prior internship or project experience in machine learning or data science

The specific hourly range offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) subject to manager approval. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
Pay Range
$35—$35 USD
