We are seeking a Solution Engineer to participate on a team that designs and implements integrated solutions across Microsoft 365, Azure, and Atlassian cloud platforms. This role will contribute to development efforts, focused on identifying, developing, and delivering solutions that enhance data governance and business productivity through scalable, compliant, secure, and efficient cloud solutions.
This position is located in Arlington, VA and is in-office Monday through Thursday with the option to work remote on Friday.
Responsibilities
Solution Analysis and Design
Gather and analyze requirements
Work with team to Translate business and technical requirements into solution designs, level-of-effort estimates, implementation plans, and timelines.
Participate in reviews to help ensure solution designs align with established governance frameworks, internal standards, and applicable compliance requirements.
Solution Delivery and Lifecycle
Project construction, including development and/or configuration of cloud services
Help define and coordinate tasks with delivery team members and technical stakeholders.
Align solution documentation with the governance framework established in the Collaboration Support team knowledge base.
Technical Standards
Contribute to development standards and reusable solution architectures
Document solutions and standards in team knowledge bases
Basic Qualifications
1+ year of professional experience in Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, M365 specific environments or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate with technical teams and business partners to gather information, clarify requirements, and support solution delivery.
Ability to contribute to the design and development of scalable, secure, and cost-conscious cloud solutions under the guidance of experienced team members.
Experience with one or more programming, scripting, or web development technologies such as TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PowerShell, Python, C#, or Java.
Familiarity with web application architecture concepts, including client-side and server-side code, API integration, authentication, and related design patterns.
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not for profit, in person, university or college.
A track record of commitment to prior employers

The ideal candidate may have exposure to, or demonstrate the capacity to learn, several of the following areas:
Experience with Azure
Functions and Runbooks
Logic Apps/low code automation
Web Applications
Identity/Entra Application management
M365 enhancement and custom solution development
Low/no-code including Copilot Agents, Power Automate, Power Apps
Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Azure Functions).
SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
M365 connectors
SharePoint Lists Customizations
Experience using AI-powered productivity and development tools
Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Claude to automate workflows, generate content, and improve development efficiency;
Familiarity with creating and managing custom agents in Copilot Studio is a plus.
Experience with web application development and lifecycle management
Experience integrating solutions with M365, Atlassian, and Azure APIs.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with data governance, compliance, and security frameworks.
Certifications – Candidates should expect to acquire certification and/or demonstrate skill in some of the following areas within the first year of employment:
Azure – AZ-900, AZ-204
M365 – MS-900
Power Platform/Copilot - PL-900, PL-400, AB-900, AB-100
Education – Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred
