We’re looking for a M&E Project Manager to join our Construction division in Dunedin. You’ll work closely with mechanical, electrical and civil teams helping us deliver complex and integrated solutions.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
In this role, you’ll be developing and strengthening existing business relationships, as well as building new ones. You’ll take full ownership of the mechanical & electrical scope across multiple concurrent projects. Experience managing complex mechanical systems, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, working with automation and controls, or leading high‑risk operational environments will translate well into this position.
Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities
- Develop work opportunities to help build a regional M&E team with new & existing clients, as well as support/deliver internal subcontractor opportunities that may come from the National M&E team
- Lead the projects team in the successful execution and delivery of M&E construction projects
- Manage and direct contract administration, understanding contractual requirements and expectations
- Set and monitor performance expectations with Foremen/ Supervisors and construction crews.
- Ensure forward planning, organising and ordering of contract subbies/ material plant/ people at all times to eliminate down time on the job
- Set project estimates and contribute to tender submissions.

- Minimum 7 years’ experience in managing the delivery of projects in the Construction industry.
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering) or significant industry experience
- Strong financial and contractual acumen.
- Safety related certification.
- Proven client building relationship and management experience
- Current Full Class 1 driver licence.
- Knowledge of underlying engineering principles that represent good practice within the NZ Mechanical Engineering field
