This position reports to:
Portfolio Manager__
Represent LVS Global business line as global technical expert and lead LVS (Low Voltage System) Solutions Integration (low voltage switchgear in skid or enclosure/e-house or in general in any broad system or package supply) for all technical related topics.
In this role you are required to collaborate with marketing & sales, LVS Data Center Team, factory tendering and engineering teams, enhance technical consultant and support for market opportunities securement and project engineering execution, through closely connecting with global technical suppliers (other ABB organization or external 3rd party).
This position is classified under Global Grade: Grade 12. The working model is Hybrid.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Functional lead the mechanical system engineers to build up LVS solutions engineering CoE competency through process optimization, training, best practices, and lessons-learned sharing, supporting all business line functions.
- Drive global standardization of the LVS solutions offering to international customers.
- Standardize, optimize, and monitor technical interfaces and processes with global solutions suppliers (other ABB business units and third-party suppliers).
- Contribute to solutions business risk management and provide technical risk assessments for global projects.
- Participate in critical technical discussions and support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the complete onboarding lifecycle including offer acceptance, contract creation, preboarding tasks, background checks, start‑date management, and first‑day readiness.
- Provide technical consultation and support to sales and marketing teams to secure market opportunities.
- Engage with global customers as the primary technical point of contact for LVS solutions.
- Support tendering and engineering teams in evaluating and responding to complex customer requirements
- Work with marketing and sales team for collection of market and competitor intelligence
- Collaborate with LVS Data Center Team, factory engineering to align technical standards and project requirements.
- Involve and contribute to cross organizational collaboration with other business units within ABB.
- Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external technical suppliers to ensure seamless technical integration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record in similar field with >10 years’ experience
- Excellent communication skills with high proficiency in English
- Expertise in switchgear products, standardization, and IEC standards
- Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) and sheet metal structural design
- Experience in e-house or skid design
- Risk management capabilities
- Ability to influence without direct authority
- Experience with busduct and UPS systems, experience with system (electrical) analysis (selectivity, power loss calculation, inter arc calculation etc.) is nice to have.
- Proficiency in additional foreign languages
