In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline and provide supervisory guidance to a team of engineers. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner, while overseeing the work of the team to ensure quality and timely delivery.

You will collaborate closely with the remote Engineering Centre in Egypt to align workflows, share best practices, and ensure seamless coordination across projects.

You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring all assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.

This role is contributing to the MNS Electrical Design Office in Smart Power SPLVS – Low Voltage Systems Egypt. Main stakeholders are internal engineering teams, production, project management, and customers.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with customers to shape and deliver solutions while gathering feedback to drive continuous improvement

  • Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and achievement of KPIs

  • Coordinating with production and remote Engineering Centre in Egypt to ensure designs are properly manufactured, staged, tested, installed, and commissioned

  • Coaching and supervising engineering colleagues on translating conceptual designs into engineering documentation, sharing best practices and lessons learned

  • Driving resolution of quality issues and supporting development strategies across projects

Qualifications:

  • You are engaged in working with the latest design and configuration software and tools in the field of switchgear engineering

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in the design of low voltage switchgear, including related activities such as testing, production support, and material planning

  • You possess strong knowledge of Low Voltage Systems, IEC standards, EPLAN, short-circuit and selectivity studies, automation, PLC programming, and switchgear configurators

  • You are passionate about solving technical challenges in the field of low voltage switchgear and committed to continuous learning and self-development

  • You stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in low voltage systems, IEC standards, and switchgear engineering

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical)

  • You are at ease communicating in English

Skills Required
