THE ROLE
We are seeking a high-caliber commercial leader to step into the role of Luxury Resale Partnerships Senior Manager in Japan. This role will shape the long-term vision, commercial strategy, and operational execution standards for our Japanese resale ecosystem. Moving beyond standalone execution, you will serve as the principal business lead for the region, driving a high-performing culture of partner-centricity and joint value creation.
As the strategic leader of the regional hub, you will directly manage and mentor a cross-functional regional hub—consisting of Business Development, Partner Success specialists, and the buying team—while aligning local market operations with global corporate objectives and ensuring flawless regional governance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Define the long-term vision, commercial strategy, and development roadmap for the regional partner success and supply functions.
Act as the primary strategic advisor to the global Head Merchandise and executive leadership regarding market health, competitive positioning, and macro supply trends.
Architect, unlock, and manage high-stakes, C-level corporate relationships with leading Japanese luxury resale players and institutional suppliers to secure long-term volume pipeline growth.
Master high-level strategic negotiations and engineer complex commercial frameworks that protect corporate margins while ensuring mutually beneficial, scalable partnerships.
2. Cross-Functional Hub Governance & People ManagementDirect, mentor, and lead a high-performing local team, providing direct line management to Partner Success Specialists and B2B Business Development roles.
Translate executive company growth targets into structured, concrete regional workflows, facilitating seamless cross-functional execution between the local hub and central global teams (Buying, Operations, Finance, Tech).
Serve as the senior local representative for the corporate entity, managing strategic relationships with local tax consultants, financial auditors, and legal bodies.
WHO YOU ARE
Experienced Leader: You possess a minimum of 8 years of commercial experience within a retail, brand, wholesale, or premium marketplace environment. Deep domain expertise in the luxury fashion or luxury resale sectors is highly advantageous.
Ecosystem Builder: You have a proven track record of designing, building, and scaling successful B2B partner programs from scratch, possessing the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and shape regional channel strategies.
Strategic & Analytical Thinker: You excel at translating abstract, multi-year strategic visions into concrete, near-term operational roadmaps (6-18 month horizons) backed by data-driven insights.
Expert Negotiator: You are highly skilled at navigating high-stakes corporate negotiations, balancing commercial drive with the long-term health of partnerships.
Bilingual & Culturally Astute: You are fluent in Japanese (native-level preferred) and English. You possess complete mastery of Japanese corporate business etiquette (Ningengenkei) alongside the strong communication skills required to collaborate seamlessly across a global organization.

Skills Required
