Day-to-day activities in the lumber yard including scheduling production and charges for treatment with a primary emphasis on SHE compliance and production performance. Will work closely with the CSX bridge supervisors to prioritize orders. Responsible for receiving bridge orders and reviewing blueprints for accuracy. Orders all materials to manufacture bridge orders. Schedules commercial trucks for all bridge shipments. The Lumber Yard Supervisor will promote and support Koppers goal of Zero Harm and Zero Waste. Six employees report to this position.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; BS in Wood Science or Business preferred.
- Relevant supervisory job experience in the manufacturing industry; managerial experience in the timber industry preferred.
- Safety, health and environmental awareness
- Strong organizational and communications skills.

- Experience with Microsoft Office Products
- Prior union experience is preferred
