About the Role:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) PRN position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within the healthcare services industry in the South region. This role involves providing direct nursing care to patients on an as-needed basis, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The LPN PRN will collaborate closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and monitor patient progress. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of South.
  • Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nursing principles, patient care techniques, and medication administration.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting such as hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities.
  • Additional certifications such as IV therapy or wound care.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Previous experience in PRN or per diem nursing roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and safely according to established protocols.
  • Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
  • Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and daily living activities to support their comfort and recovery.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to update and implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing care and patient information in compliance with regulatory standards.
