Provides direct patient care. Communicates with physicians, nurse leaders, registered nurses, co-workers, as appropriate related to changes in patient's clinical condition including diagnostic study results and symptomatology. Understands and be willing to adhere to the service excellence standards established for Mary Rutan Hospital. Demonstrates effective communication skills necessary to interact efficiently with all customers. Be able to effectively function in unexpected crisis in a calm, confident manner. Be willing to adjust schedule to meet unit needs, float to and work in other areas as assigned and accept low census as needed. Work required weekends and holidays. Adhere to all staffing and personnel policies. Keep all required licensures and certifications current.


Regulatory Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current State of Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • New hires must complete telemetry classes within six months of hire.

Language Skills

  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Skills

  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Previous experience with Electronic Medical Record system preferred.
  • Previous Meditech knowledge is preferred.
  • Cardiac Monitoring is required.

Skills Required
