A Day in the Life of an LPN / CMA - Nisswa Clinic

The Clinic LPN at Nisswa is integral to managing the physician's daily clinic schedule, ensuring each patient's timely assessment and preparation before they meet the physician. This role requires you to assist in various medical procedures, administer medications, and effectively use medical equipment ranging from EKGs to nebulizers. Challenges include maintaining accurate and detailed medical records under stressful conditions and adapting quickly to emerging patient needs. Collaboration is key, as the LPN works closely with physicians, other nurses, and administrative staff to optimize patient flow and care coordination. The position also involves handling indirect care activities such as stocking supplies and managing communication between patients and medical staff.

QualificationsEducation and ExperienceRequired
  • Current LPN license from the State of Minnesota -OR- Graduate of a medical assistant program with CMA OR CCMA certification within one year of hire
  • American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire
  • One year of clinical nursing experience

Skills Required

  • Current LPN license from the State of Minnesota OR Graduate of a medical assistant program with CMA or CCMA certification within one year of hire
