About Mining Datacenter:

Mining DataCenter is one of Bitdeer’s business verticals. Historically the team can be traced back to 2013 when it began providing specialized services for facility design, construction, maintenance, and general one-stop technical support. Currently we have 5 fully compliant datacenters around the world. Since 2013, we have been working on refining the DataCenter side of the business and constantly enriching our experience within the industry. As of today, our team has built 30+ DataCenters around the world. We are also currently running 5 DataCenters of our own, one of which is one of the largest in North America.Our DataCenter service includes:

• site research and reporting
• collaborative development
• site construction (design, construction and renovation)
• miner logistics (shipping, customs declaration and clearance)
• miner operation
• miner repairs

What you will be responsible for:

• Responsible for the design and technical solution review and evaluation related to weak current systems for new and renovated data centers. This includes analyzing requirements and creating systematic designs (such as but not limited to structured cabling, data center engineering, security systems, network communications, audio-visual systems, building intelligence applications, etc.) based on technical characteristics, guiding the design firm in producing construction drawings, and ensuring seamless implementation.
• Responsible for the overall management of the procurement and bidding process for weak current system projects. This includes interfacing with external consultants, design firms, equipment suppliers, and internal departments to ensure seamless communication, evaluating technical proposals provided by suppliers, reviewing construction drawings and technical solutions, and overseeing the quality control of deliverables.
• Develop practical standards, technical specifications, and workflows related to the weak current system designs based on specific project requirements and provide supervision during their implementation. This includes driving innovation, standardization, and iterative upgrades for system designs.
• Collaborate across various project stages, including engineering system acceptance, equipment factory tests, installation inspection, and final approval phases. Offer technical guidance during system testing and verification, ensuring compliance with requirements and high-quality execution.
• Ensure the smooth transition of design deliverables to practical application. Take ownership of project progression and actively contribute to on-site construction management throughout the lifecycle of the project. Demonstrate expertise in managing real-world tasks effectively.
• Exhibit innovative problem-solving abilities during project design phases and address complex technical challenges with ingenuity and expertise.

How you will stand out:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with Power systems emphasis
• Professional Engineer certification would be beneficial but not mandatory
• 10 years of experience in electrical engineering or project management
• 3 to 8 years of verifiable professional design experience with medium and high voltage power systems and distribution
• Substation design experience desired
• Knowledge of power distribution equipment including transformers, switches, power quality, harmonic analysis, short circuit and arc flash analysis, grounding, and lightning protection.
• Fluency with MS office suite, AutoCAD, and power system modelling software
• Works well with teams and other design professionals
• Sensitive to time, costs, and deadlines
• Capacity to analyze a problem from multiple perspectives and explore creative solutions.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to travel to various locations

What you will experience working with us:

• Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Communications, Automation, or related fields. 
• Work Experience: Minimum of 8 years of work experience, including at least 5 years in the data center industry; possesses strong professional skills, capable of independently coordinating cross-disciplinary efforts for data center design; able to undertake the project design and management of medium and large-scale data centers. 
• Professional Skills: Familiar with products and equipment involved in data center infrastructure integration, as well as various communication protocols; well-versed in domestic and international standards and guidelines related to data centers. Proficient in CAD, OFFICE, and other software. Possesses extensive experience in technical review and management; capable of independently conducting design, verification, and drawing reviews while solving technical issues during the design process. Demonstrates strong expertise in technical coordination, quality control, and the ability to establish relevant standards and specifications. 
• Comprehensive Abilities: Able to adapt to international travel; possesses excellent bilingual (Chinese and English) communication and presentation skills. Highly responsible at work; candidates with overseas work experience, intermediate-level or higher professional titles, or relevant professional certifications are preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may sometimes be exposed to heat, noise, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The exposure will not be constant but could occupy a large amount of a person’s time during the day while on-site. Safety & Noise reduction equipment will be provided by the company. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The role allows working remotely flexibly where necessary.
