Position Overview

The Low Voltage Purchaser will be responsible for managing purchasing and procurement activities for commercial low-voltage projects. This role requires strong knowledge of low-voltage systems and materials, excellent vendor management skills, and the ability to proactively coordinate material needs to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting commercial projects and a solid understanding of the components used in CCTV, access control, structured cabling, networking, AV, and related systems.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000 Annually

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage purchasing and procurement activities for commercial low-voltage projects.
  • Ensure materials are ordered accurately and proactively to support project schedules.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with vendors and suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and warehouse material tracking.
  • Oversee the material procurement process from order placement through shipment tracking.
  • Coordinate with vendors, project teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure material availability.
  • Monitor orders and proactively resolve purchasing or supply chain issues.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve procurement efficiency.
  • Follow established purchasing procedures and best practices.
  • Support successful project execution through effective material planning and coordination.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or material coordination experience within the low-voltage industry.
  • Experience supporting commercial low-voltage projects.
  • Strong understanding of materials used in CCTV, access control, structured cabling, networking, AV, and related infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with low-voltage manufacturers, products, and industry standards.
  • Ability to understand how low-voltage components function within overall project installations.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and coordination abilities.
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Low-voltage field or management experience is strongly preferred.
