About Sweet Security

Sweet Security is one of the fastest-growing companies in AI and cloud security, building a fundamentally different approach to protecting modern applications. Instead of simply detecting threats after they occur, Sweet proactively enforces security in runtime, helping organizations stop risky behavior before it impacts production.

Backed by $120M in funding and trusted by leading enterprises, we're growing rapidly and looking for exceptional people who want to solve hard technical problems, move fast, and help define the future of cloud and AI security.

Job Description:

As a Senior Low-Level Software Engineer on the Sensor team, you will design and optimize performance-critical software that runs directly inside large-scale customer production environments. The Sweet Sensor is at the core of our platform, providing deep system-level visibility and high-fidelity threat detection across Linux and Windows systems using eBPF and a Windows kernel driver — all while maintaining a minimal performance footprint.

Working close to the OS layer, you will build advanced runtime monitoring capabilities under strict stability and performance constraints. Our products are built in Rust, and each engineer owns a core component end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to production deployment and optimization. This role offers the opportunity to tackle complex systems challenges, work with cutting-edge technologies, and build innovative solutions within Linux and Windows environments

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, plan, and implement efficient, reusable code that powers complex applications
  • Research and develop innovative approaches that strengthen our Application Security platform
  • Optimize performance and resource usage in demanding customer environments
  • Lead challenging projects in close collaboration with Product Managers and other software engineers
  • Interface and coordinate with other R&D teams to deliver complete end-to-end solutions

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in low-level software development (Rust/Go/C/C++)
  • Strong understanding of Linux and Windows internals, including memory management, processes, and syscalls
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash
  • Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills

Sweet Security is an equal opportunity employer and is proud to be part of a diverse, multicultural world.  We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where every employee has equal opportunities to grow and succeed. We believe that diversity is a key driver of success, and we encourage curiosity, innovation, and the integration of diverse talents across our global teams. All candidates are considered based on their qualifications, experience, and professional fit. At Sweet Security, we see diversity and inclusion as core values, and we actively work to foster a respectful, equitable, and empowering environment for all our employees, customers, and partners.

Skills Required

  • 5+ years of experience in low-level software development (Rust/Go/C/C++)
  • Strong understanding of Linux and Windows internals, including memory management, processes, and syscalls
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash
  • Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills
