Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Long-term Intern to join our Sales department based in Grand Prairie, TX.

In this role, you will provide the Sales team assistance with customer relationship management support in Salesforce.  This includes administrative support as well as other projects and duties as assigned.

As the world's number one helicopter manufacturer, our team members in the Sales department work closely with our customers to make sure they have the aircraft that best fit their needs - whether that be our civil range helicopters supporting first responders or the most challenging military missions.

Your Working Environment:

A suburb just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area is home to Airbus Helicopters U.S. regional headquarters, where we have more than 1,000 employees. Check out one of the seven professional sports teams that also call Dallas home - you may even see a special, custom Airbus helicopter dedicated to the Dallas Cowboys flying during home games.

Your Challenges:

Primary Responsibilities:

Salesforce 70%

  • Support Management in all steps of the CRM sales process.

  • Coordinates Sales opportunity updates with the Operational Manager and Specialist.

  • Supports with Salesforce AML/KYC updates, configuration updates, opportunity/account name changes and password resets.

  • Supports with administrative duties as needed to support the CRM tool.

Administrative Duties 30%

  • Assist Regional Sales Managers in the field with Grand Prairie campus related issues.

  • Work with Marketing to ensure promotional items and literature is in stock to fulfill upcoming Regional Sales Manager requests.

  • Coordinate between Regional / Market Managers and Team to ensure accuracy of shipments and logistics of Sales Teams offsite event items prior to upcoming events.

    • Supports with administrative duties as needed to support the sales operation.

    • Coordination of IM product ordering and support.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties as assigned   


Your Boarding Pass:

  •  Must be currently located in the DFW metro area and able to be physically onsite for the internship opportunity

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program or Associates degree or higher with a college, required

  • Degree or equivalent pursuit in Sales, Marketing, Business, Public Relations or Aeronautics, preferred    

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft & Google applications, required

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, required

  • Initiative, energy and the willingness to learn are essential to being successful in this position.   Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, required 

  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form with internal and external customers, required

  • Ability to learn different software programs quickly, preferred

  • Some office work environment experience, preferred

  • Some experience using Salesforce CRM, preferred 

  • Ability to work ~29 hours a week during spring and fall semesters

  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form in English, required

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications Google Suite applications, required

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite: 90%

  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings, daily.

  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms, daily.

  • Speaking:  able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications, daily.

  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts, daily.

  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs, daily.

  • Lifting:  able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs, as required.

  • Pushing / Pulling:  able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools, as required.

  • Sitting:  able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer, daily.

  • Squatting / Kneeling:  able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.

  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor, as required.

  • Travel:  able to travel independently and at short notice, 10% or as required.

  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents):  able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces, daily.

  • Personal Protective Equipment required:  Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site.
