Northrop Grumman Launch and Exploration unit is currently seeking a Logistics Support 3 working 100% onsite in Vandenberg Space Force Base located in Santa Barbara, CA.

Job Description:

Supports and assists activities within multiple disciplines throughout the logistics and manufacturing supply chain process. Prepares logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. Pulls hardware kits based on drawing BOMs, manages safety stock and job supplies inventories, updates and transacts inventory in appropriate ERP system. Loads, unloads, and conveys materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, and performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving. Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma with 4+ years of experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain or related field
  • Forklift operator experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to move, transport, or lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs and perform physical work throughout the day
  • Active Interim or Secret Security Clearance is required at time of application
  • US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Government Property and Documentation
  • Provides technical, tactical and execution support in various aspects of industry standard Logistics or Manufacturing Supply Chain operations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and multi-task
  • Well organized, effective in working independently as well as in a team environment,
  • Able to handle multiple assignments, possess good oral and written communication skills
  • Prepare equipment or materials for shipment via truck or parcel carrier
  • Organize tasks and time to ensure timely completion of all projects
  • Supply chain knowledge in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Company Purchasing Card (PCARD)
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Experience in packing and shipping flight hardware
  • Creating, processing, and shipping RMA parts

Primary Level Salary Range: $51,400.00 - $85,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
