Job Description:
- Manage all import/export shipping activities, set, and execute service levels for inbound and outbound shipments, focus on customer satisfaction and meeting on time delivery expectations.
- Oversee and manage stockroom activities as it relates to production orders, cycle counts, and areas of 6S and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency, customer service, and cost savings.
- Manage the logistics team and coordinate scheduling and workloads, focus on cross-training initiatives to offer support for the site.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust ordering and storage accordingly.
- Track order fulfillment and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Participate in cross-functional teams devoted to efficiency, cost-reduction, inventory reduction, inventory turns, and quality.
- Responsible for reporting KPI metrics to the site and identifying key opportunities to improve and align with the Microchip logistics processes.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- AS degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- Five years’ industry experience.
- Working knowledge of ERP software.
- International and freight forwarding shipping experience. He has a familiarity with Export regulations and has had Dangerous goods certification or is willing to get certified.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of FDA and other regulatory agency import/export regulations.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices, including demonstrated knowledge of Lean/Sigma, JIT methodologies and/or supply chain management.
- Proficient in using MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- Knowledge of ESD material guidelines.

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in Massachusetts, is $46,000 - $128,000.**Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
