About the Logistics Supervisor position:The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of the Netherlands logistics center, covering logistics, warehousing, and raw material handling. This role directly leads and manages the local logistics team, decodes business targets into individual PBCs, drives continuous process optimization, and delivers improved lead time, enhanced delivery quality, cost savings, and strict compliance.
Key Responsibilities:1. Logistics & Warehouse Operations
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Supervise warehousing operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, and raw material handling.
- Monitor daily logistics KPIs, address bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions & improvements.
- Ensure proper packing, labelling, and dispatch of goods according to SOPs and compliance requirements.
2. Compliance & Risk Control
- Ensure all logistics and warehousing activities comply with the EU trade regulations, customs, and HSE regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation for import/export and raw materials.
- Support audits and integrate compliance into daily operations, addressing issues with internal teams and external partners.
3. Cost & Efficiency Optimization
- Analyze logistics and warehousing costs, identify savings opportunities, and balance efficiency with service quality.
- Continuously improve processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce cycle time.
- Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouse vendors to improve service quality and cost performance.
4. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, coach, and develop the NL logistics team, ensuring clear responsibilities and accountability.
- Decodes business goals into individual PBCs and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Providing training, guidance, and feedback to enhance team capability and engagement.
5. Cross-functional collaboration
- Work closely with Commercial, Production, Procurement, Finance and EHS teams to ensure logistics solutions meet customer and business needs.
- Support project roll-outs and contribute to system and process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, operations, or a related field
- 4 years of logistics/warehousing experience, with 1-2 years in supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven track record in process optimization, team management, and KPI delivery.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Effective leadership, communication, and execution skills; results-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in English and Chinese; Dutch is a plus.
- Experience in biotech, life sciences, or regulated industries is a plus.
- Legal eligibility to work in the Netherlands.
