POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for analyzing and interpreting data and providing logistics information to aid cost effective, efficient, timely and high-quality logistics solutions. Often works closely with customer service and other stakeholders in the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

Logistics cost management. Development and management of logistics suppliers. Assist all departments in all necessary processes as required: customer’s service level, cubage, request for quotes, lead time information, etc.  Management of freight forwarders, including all types of transportation and cross-trade cargo management. Monitoring priorities along with Customer Service and Sales, providing visibility of departures, delays and arrivals.  Coordination of EXW cargo collections: internal coordination of product collection, verification of availability of shipping space to avoid work overload, maintaining a constant and orderly flow to reduce errors, generation of all the necessary documentation by clients for the issuance of the loads. Preparation and review of transport documents: delivery notes, CMR, create documents for import and export, and work with Customer Service with the approval of the customer. Creating Intercompany Purchasing Orders in all systems. Reporting: service level (OTIF, past due order, etc) Intrastat reporting, etc. Complaint processing and handling. Continuous improvement: Lead time reduction, reduction of logistics costs, automation of daily processes in Excel and the ERP, perform root cause analysis, etc. Customs and Energy Tax Representative (Management and maintenance of Customs Authorizations for Vantage Leuna GmbH in cooperation with the service provider; updating and maintenance of related documentation; taking care of customs inspections by the authorities; internal contact for customs related topics) Back up for the planning department at the same location and for Logistic Specialist in the region.

The Ideal Candidate

Desired Background

  • Professional training in logistics, international commerce or comparable qualifications.

  • 3 - 5 years of professional work experience in logistics.

  • High level of English (C1 preferable)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

  • Previous experience with SAP/SAGE/D365 (desirable)

  • Proactive, agile and willing to learn.

  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary and intercultural teamwork (desirable)

  • Strong organizational skills and good time management

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
