Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Uber Freight is looking for experienced customer service professionals with a background in the Transportation, Supply Chain or Logistics field. Our specialists will lead transportation functions to ensure accurate, timely delivery of products in the most efficient and cost-effective manner all while providing excellent customer service to our customers.

What the Candidate Will Do

• Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to its fullest potential in order to facilitate the life cycle of an order
• Exceed customer on time pick-up and delivery expectations
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers contracted to the account as well as other carriers operating in your geographical region
• Review and correct in-bound shipment data integrity, i.e. ISD
• Proactive analysis to prevent service failures
• Proactively develop, recommend and implement cost savings and/or service improvement programs in support of the transportation strategy
• Professional and timely communications
• Identify patterns with shipper, receiver, and carrier performance and recommend actions for improvement
• Resolve financial discrepancies in TMS financials (Carrier invoice does not match in TMS and must be reviewed and make a determination; make adjustments in TMS; and, respond to Accounting to deny or approve the additional funds, etc.)
• Train new customer and vendor users on the TMS, demonstrating knowledge of customer business practices and workflow
• Upload and maintain current customer benchmark rates in TMS, OCA or SRG

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2-3 years of related experience in Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain 
• Canada transportation experience (over the road)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• Flatbed /Open deck equipment experience
• Reporting and Analytics (Ability to run BI reports; validate information; understand reports, offer feedback and deliver insights to your manager and or customer contacts on the information contained within the report)
• Knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google Tools
