POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for monitoring all Inbound & Outbound shipments for the DC, providing all necessary shipping & receipt documentation to ensure efficient delivery/receipt of product, both internationally and domestically. This position is critical to ensure effective and efficient flow of orders and inventory within the Distribution Center to give our customers and optimal order and delivery experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Outbound & Inbound Logistics Support (80%)
- Carrier communication – scheduling of pickups, pricing reviews and issue resolution
- US Domestic & Canada: Scheduling of all Outbound shipments and coordination with carriers including regular & priority LTL, FTL and Volume loads
- International: Scheduling of all Outbound shipments and coordination with Intl partners, Sweden Control Tower, Freight Forwarders and carriers including regular & Priority LCL and FCL loads
- Prepare all shipping documentation as needed – generating and creating all necessary documentation to support shipments both domestic and international
- This includes all HAZ MAT and Customs documentation
- Coordination with other internal departments, including Sweden Control Tower, CS, Sales, Planners, and etc. to ensure all compliance needs are met and paperwork completed.
- Complete all customer shipment requests (C9s) where the customer request use of their own TMS system/portal for shipment scheduling.
- Ensure all extra steps are completed within standard shipment KPI time.
- Fulfill any quote requests for domestic or international shipments for CS and Sales
- Primary POC and responsible for all shipment claims
- Coordinate, file & monitor all shipping claims for non-delivery and/or damage.
- Work with other departments as needed to ensure recovered funds distributed to the proper accounts.
- Schedule all Inbound Intl Containers and assist Receiving team in coordination US Domestic Inbound shipments as needed.
- Track all Inbound shipments and follow up for no-shows to reschedule.
- Provide ETA updates for shipments upon request
- Analyze and publish to team updated metrics for transit times from various departure points to ensure ETA & Lead time accuracy.
- Customer Service and CRM trouble shooting support and responses in a professional manner via email, phone and CRM system
- Monitor Order Auto-allocations – working with internal & external stakeholders to ensure all orders allocate properly for order fulfillment and troubleshooting/resolving any issues
- Works aged order report to ensure all shipments are accounted for and invoiced.
- Attend and participate in all meetings related to Logistics Activities
- Material Master management – supporting all updates necessary to ensure that inbound and outbound material data is accurate
Facility Support (20%)
- Ensuring all LTL & FT shipments tracking#s are keyed in and the shipments invoiced each day
- Coordinate with Receiving, Inventory & Outbound Shipping team on incoming backordered products to ensure timely receipt and turnaround time to our customers.
- Provide Receiving team with an weekly update on forecasted container arrivals over a rolling four weeks.
CRITICAL FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Beginner to intermediate knowledge of TMS (Transportation Mgmt System), WMS (Warehouse Mgmt System) & ERP systems
- Working knowledge of freight carriers, domestic & international shipping guidelines and specific carrier capabilities
- Strong multi-tasking & prioritization skills
- Basic knowledge of Excel, CRM and Office 365
- Haz Mat Certification a plus
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school degree or equivalent
- 2-3 years previous experience working in a logistics environment preferred
- Normal office environment
- Heavy PC use
- Daily and monthly deadlines
