Ashland has an exciting opportunity for Logistics Specialist – Export Processor to join our Ashland Specialty Ingredients Poland Sp. z o.o. business at our Warsaw (Poland) office. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Logistics function. This position will report to Logistics Supervisor.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Monitor and create deliveries, perform Goods Issue and Receipt, block damaged goods, unblock when needed

  • Prepare documents required for shipping

  • Monitor stock to make allocations on daily basis, inform CS about incomplete or blocked orders

  • Follow up on expected inbound shipments, especially urgently needed for outbound orders

  • Arrange ‘express shipments’

  • Manage return orders.

  • Update deliveries / shipments to acknowledge confirmation of shipping

  • Enter freight accruals

  • Help drive improvement projects within the Supply Chain

  • Support month end closures

  • Cooperate with internal and external Teams

  • Cooperate with TMS processors to execute bookings

  • Actively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative, executing on goals and focusing on performance and safety

  • Improve the organization capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships, optimizing diverse talent and utilizing positive communications and influence with others

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Education background or 2-4 years’ experience in a similar position (Export Customer Service, Logistics)        

  • Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP

  • Good understanding of the business processes, understanding of the customer service, warehousing, production and logistics processes are an advantage.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, natural curiosity, drive for efficiency

  • Demonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all times

  • The ability to help the company drive greater value through understanding the business, making complex decisions and creating the new and different

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

  • Experience with TMS
