- Lead the coordination and support for the GS (Global Services) logistics North America Quality Management System in Summerville.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation and plans according to company standards and customer needs. Perform analysis of customer returns and field failure data.
- Investigate root cause failures, perform 8D analysis and report to leadership.
- Support site FMEA creation and maintenance.
- Effectively coordinate Supplier Quality Assurance activities.
- Act as proficient technical resource to operations, providing solutions to complex problems.
- Support product team, CIP activities, and Policy Deployment objectives.
- Provides functional support and guidance to a work group.
- Coordinates efforts with customers to resolve complex problems and unique needs.
- Accepts accountability for the completion of work under limited guidance.
- Makes decisions within area of specialty, manages medium to large projects.
- Takes initiative in accomplishing planned development actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline
- 2+ years of professional work experience in the field of quality, ISO9001 coordination or Quality Management System (QMS)
- Internal candidates: 5 years field of quality, ISO9001 experience with other than engineering degree.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in a quality role with direct customer involvement.
- Experience with FMEA / Control Plans, Measurement System Analysis, etc.
- Demonstrated skills / certification in systematic problem-solving methodologies (Shainin, Six Sigma, Kepner-Trego, etc.)
- Responsible and independent self-starter who is customer and relationship focused, yet analytical and persuasive
- Ability to lead and/or work within cross functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with SAP systems.
- Use of database management an creation would be beneficial but not required.
