We are looking for a Logistics Planner in Naperville. The Logistics Planner will be responsible for efficient and effective transportation load planning for UPM Pulp in the North American region and will evaluate logistics costs including truck, rail, and warehouse to determine the optimal routing for freight while working with production scheduling. Additionally, this role will work with our internal and external partners to resolve exceptions and follow shipments to delivery.

What you will do

Identify and utilize the most efficient and economical routing and mode of transportation using systems and tools available

Direct scheduling of shipment releases and notification to concerned departments of arrival dates and any issues that may arise with shipment

Weekly railcar orders placed and forecasting for following weeks completed

Management of exceptions and order prioritization

Implementation of cost-effective solutions which maintain service levels
Who you are
-
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience – required
-
Logistics or related field – 2 years desired

Demonstrated experience with logistics load planning
