Job Profile Summary:
It is responsible for providing high-level customer care and service and carrying out the operational process from beginning (collection) to end (delivery) of national shipments as well as import and export shipments under the different modalities: Air, Sea, and Land. On the other hand, it must provide monitoring and complete visibility to customers of their shipments for the accounts that the Import-Export Coordinator is in charge of. Additionally, the Import and Export Specialist has a leadership role where he develops administrative activities such as the development of metric reports, operational controls, and QBRs Presentations, among others.Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply with the standards and tasks of the operating process.
- Take coordination from one point to another, fulfilling the duly assigned tasks, review of "milestone" tasks, coordinating, instructions, and follow-up with the different suppliers of the logistics chain.
- Check that the shipments comply with the data quality, (that all the mandatory fields in Cargo Wise are duly completed).
- Ensure that the operational process is carried out fluently.
- Keep the control sheet of your shipments up to date.
- Promote a good work environment.
- Create your work role always maintaining the order and control of your shipments.
- Work under the parameters, policies, and standards of quality and compliance of Pegasus Logistics Group.
- Immediately report inconveniences, delays, results, or problems related to daily coordination to your manager or supervisor.
- Manage and update customer reports according to their needs.
- Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- University Degree in Customs Administration, Business Administration, International Trade or Industrial Engineering or Logistics.
- 6+ years in related field
- Fluent in Spanish/English both verbal and written.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Basic knowledge of customs procedures – Tic@.
- Intermediate knowledge of air and sea cargo.
- Knowledge of customs legislation.
- Basic load certification
- Handling of dangerous goods certification
- Effective communication with internal and external customers.
- Creative, innovative, and proactive.
- Ability to search for information.
- Good interpersonal relationships.
- Decision-making capability.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong negotiation skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.
- Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
