This position will act as the Logistics Operations Manager for a 3-shift Operation that supports all Engine / Battery Business. This role has primary responsibility to monitor and streamline logistics operations, resolve issues, and improve communication.

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Coach and Lead all Levels of Management / Shop Floor Personnel
  • Establish transparent performance tracking and reporting incl. KPI reviews, countermeasures and feedback loop to DDC team
  • Analyze and improve organizational processes and work to improve quality, productivity and efficiency
  • Develop and maintain regular communication and reporting cadence
  • Consistently monitor and create channels for problem-solving for the organization
  • Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
  • Ensure process adherence through auditing activities
  • Interface to DDC x-functional teams for Operational topics as needed (QM, SM, IT, etc.)
  • Escalation support and problem resolution
  • Support inventory control at 3PL with focus on process stability and training
  • Continuous improvement interface
  • Act as a positive representation of Detroit Business
  • Promptly respond to incidents and other events as necessary
  • Select and hire relevant staff as needed

 

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 6-8 years of industry experience
  • 4+ years of experience with organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles
  • Strong leadership ability
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative and solve complex problems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high pressure environment
  • Proven ability to analyze current processes, identify solutions and implement recommendations
