Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Coordination

  • Translate leadership priorities into executable plans by defining workstreams, owners, timelines, and success measures, and tracking progress to closure.
  • Coordinate operating rhythms, including staff meetings, reviews, and standups, with responsibility for agenda setting, content preparation, meeting notes, and action follow-up.
  • Act as a central connector across logistics, freight, customs, planning, sourcing, manufacturing, finance, and digital teams to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Provide decision support through structured analyses, insights, and recommendations on logistics, freight, customs, operational performance, and risk.

Logistics, Freight & Customs Support

  • Support logistics execution oversight across inbound, outbound, and internal material flows, ensuring performance issues are surfaced and owned by the appropriate teams.
  • Coordinate freight sourcing and execution activities, partnering with sourcing and transportation teams to align on carrier selection, service levels, and performance reviews.
  • Coordinate customs and trade-related activities with internal experts and external brokers to support compliant and timely import/export operations.
  • Support inventory accuracy initiatives, including coordination of cycle counting and physical inventory activities with site teams.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and trade compliance requirements by coordinating with functional owners and tracking closure of findings and actions.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and digital tools to improve shipment visibility, exception management, customs documentation workflows, reporting speed, and operational decision-making.

Projects, Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Coordinate key projects such as material flow improvements, freight optimization, customs process enhancements, digital tool deployment, and AI-enabled workflow improvements by organizing milestones, actions, and reviews.
  • Use visual collaboration tools such as Miro to map processes, facilitate problem-solving workshops, and communicate complex flows clearly.
  • Run analytics work on logistics, freight, and customs performance, including extracting and cleansing large data sets, performing trend and root-cause analysis, and turning data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports using spreadsheets, BI tools, visualization platforms, and AI-enabled reporting tools to provide ongoing visibility to KPIs, project benefits, and risk areas for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Model business cases for logistics and freight initiatives, quantifying cost, savings, and risk scenarios; partner with finance to validate assumptions, track benefits, and update models as initiatives progress.
  • Standardize and improve processes by helping teams document standard work, establish visual management, and adopt structured problem-solving backed by data.
  • Support the logistics organization’s AI transformation by identifying practical use cases, coordinating pilots, measuring impact, and helping scale successful solutions across the function.
  • Partner with digital, data, and functional teams to improve data quality, process discipline, and system adoption needed to enable effective AI and automation solutions.

Communication, Stakeholder & Finance Support

  • Develop clear, leadership-ready materials including dashboards, presentations, and summaries on logistics, freight, customs, and transformation initiatives.
  • Influence without direct authority, ensuring stakeholders understand priorities, commitments, timelines, and expected outcomes, and driving follow-through on actions.
  • Support finance partnership by helping interpret P&L impacts, building simple business cases, and tracking financial outcomes for logistics, freight, and transformation initiatives.
  • Communicate AI transformation opportunities, progress, and results in a way that connects technology investments to operational performance, cost, service, and compliance outcomes.
