Managing employees and resources, you will direct the implementation of tactical business plans, programs and projects in terms of transportation, while also delivering solutions that drive continuous process improvement all to ensure delivery of the right product to the right place at the right price.

This management position leads a team of Logistics Process Engineers and Business Admin personnel. The team’s charter is to ensure seamless processing of in- and outbound shipments in close collaboration with our Logistics Service Providers and the Warehouse Service Provider that operates the Logistics Center. This includes maintaining an efficient and effective portfolio of logistics service providers in cooperation with the Global Logistics Transportation Lead including freight payment checking and in full compliance with regulations and policies.

• Supervision of up to 5 team members

• Maintaining a set of efficient and effective transportation processes for RLC-E as part of Agilent's overall transportation network ensuring high quality delivery to customer needs

• Close collaboration and effective communication with all internal and external partners

• Profound knowledge about main shipping modes Air, Sea, Road, Express and In-Night services

• Solid knowledge about Im- and Export and transportation of Dangerous Goods

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master Degree of Business Administration / Logistics plus related experience as a manager, supervisor and/or individual contributor.

• You have several years of practical experience in a similar position including people management

• You are a strong and strategic negotiator who is able to successfully manage a major portfolio of freight forwarders and has a proven track record of significant cost saving initiatives

• Continuous improvement is part of your working style and you have proven that, by leading related projects and by putting strategy into tactical plans

• You are self-motivated and self-driven with excellent communication and presentation skills

• MS Office Products are part of your daily toolset and ideally you have experience with ERP-System SAP

• Your German and English are business fluent
