Logistics Manager

LabCorp is seeking a Logistics Manager to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role is responsible for the strategic and tactical oversight of the logistics team within LabCorp’s core diagnostics network. The Logistics Manager will ensure efficient, cost-effective transportation solutions that support optimal specimen flow into diagnostic laboratories. This leader will collaborate across departments, manage vendor relationships, and align logistics operations with evolving laboratory needs. The position reports to the Director of Operations and includes direct leadership of supervisors and other team members.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Flexible hours to meet business needs and on-call weekends

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the logistics network supporting diagnostic laboratories.
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and overtime to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency.
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of supervisors and staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Ensure logistics operations meet compliance standards and deliver market-leading service levels.
• Collaborate across divisions to identify and implement synergies in the contract courier space.
• Partner with laboratory leadership to align logistics with test launches and lab realignments.
• Manage relationships with contractors and vendors, ensuring service quality and accountability.
• Serve as a people leader for 4 direct reports and supporting approximately 30 indirect reports, with scope adjusting as business needs evolve.
• Facilitate effective communication with internal stakeholders including leadership, sales, and operations.
• Conduct regular departmental meetings and ensure timely, transparent communication.
• Investigate and resolve deviations from standard procedures, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
• Lead or support special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Associate degree or higher education preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant logistics experience.
• Minimum 2 years of direct supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain management highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven leadership experience managing and coaching teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
