Logistics Engineering is the process of:
- Data purification & analysis of the Plan for Every Part (PFEP)
- Warehouse storage design & Assembly Point-of-Use (POU) design
- Machinery & equipment design and procurement
- Workforce & equipment planning
- Logistics process design
- Inventory transfer & rearrangement planning
- Integration of supply chain requirements into warehouse design.
What is the Warehouse Strategy
- To deliver world class warehouse processes and an empowered culture using Rotork core principles. With global governance and visual reporting
- To create standardised processes in all Rotork plant’s and selling entities
- Improve efficiency and create global reporting for all plants and selling entities where applicable

Benefits of Warehouse Strategy
- Reduction of production downtime, through the deployment of cycle count for inventory accuracy and improved efficiency through intelligent layout of warehouses
- Review of packaging to improve sustainability and minimise space required for shipping to reduce costs
- Capturing of warehouse operations with the tools required to carry out improvements
- Standardised processes throughout the group to drive relatable metrics for site comparisons
- Better inventory management: With a detailed understanding of each part and component required for manufacturing, supply chain organizations can reduce inventory carrying costs and minimize the risk of stockouts through PFEP.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
- Execute the Site Logistics Transformation for sites including selling entities in APAC
- Deployment and governance of cycle count in APAC factories
- Deliver and support the Global warehouse strategy across APAC sites
- Work with 3rd parties to provide warehouse storage and designs to optimise storage
- Support sites with training on key processes to ensure smooth transition. E.g. Cycle Count, warehouse systems
- Utilise the PFEP workbook to implement Logistics development programmes to deliver ongoing efficiency targets such as supplier development, packaging initiatives, automation and general Lean Continuous Improvement practices.
- Execute Rotork Business System Audits, develop GAP analysis detail and deliver & execute a programme to remove gaps.
- Provide knowledge transfer & continued support for business processes to Rotork Factory sites and selling entities
- Work with Subject Matter Experts to define/validate/sign off requirements/deliverables to ensure our solution meets design intentions.
- Carry out site assessments before and during their warehouse journey to identify progress and blockages to transition
- Maintain and develop business process maps for Logistics operations.
Essential
- Minimum 5 years working in Logistics/Warehouse management and Logistics Engineering.
- Experience of manufacturing material management and replenishment procedures.
- Comfort working in a high-pressure environment, in agile and dynamic way to tackle unexpected & emerging issues.
- Demonstrable track record, and sufficient gravitas and experience, to deliver positive, high impact business outcomes and change.
- Experience managing senior internal & external stakeholders to provide information, drive decisions and resolve issues.
