Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in logistics and supply chain management, with a keen eye for accuracy and efficiency. Interns work collaboratively on teams to support projects that improve our internal and external communication and operational efficiencies. Reporting to the Director of Logistics, this internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and management of daily logistics operations.
- Support shipment tracking, route planning, and carrier management.
- Audit shipping documents and invoices, ensuring accuracy in reviewing BOLs, invoices, packing lists, and other freight documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize supply chain processes.
- Ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements, including import/export regulations, customs documentation, COO, tariff, and trade compliance practices.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to manage logistics activities.
- Create dashboards and generate logistics performance reports using Power BI.

Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced knowledge of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Accuracy in auditing shipping documents and invoices.
- Operational knowledge of intermodal, ocean, parcel, and domestic trucking logistics.
- Knowledge of customs and regulatory compliance (preferred).
- Experience with Power BI (preferred).
