Logistics Expert (TS/SCI with Poly Required)

At GCI, we solve the hard problems. As an Logistics Specialist, a typical day will include the following duties:

The selected candidate will ensure the secure and timely delivery of program materials while maintaining strict adherence to quality assurance standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements. This role requires a proactive professional capable of operating in a high operations-tempo environment and supporting sensitive mission objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute domestic and international shipments of materials.
• Ensure the quality assurance of delivery processes, verifying materials arrive securely, accurately, and on schedule.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable security protocols, transportation regulations, and hazardous materials handling requirements.
• Prepare and review shipping documentation, manifests, and compliance records.
• Coordinate with internal teams, transportation providers, and other stakeholders as necessary to ensure efficient logistics operations.
• Monitor shipments and proactively resolve transportation or delivery issues.
• Implement and maintain logistics tracking systems and reporting to support operational visibility.
• Support contingency planning and rapid-response logistics in support of mission requirements.
• Maintain strict chain-of-custody procedures for sensitive or controlled materials.

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience planning and executing complex logistics operations.
• Proven knowledge of hazardous materials handling, transportation regulations, and associated compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of customer mission objectives and mission lines of effort.
• Experience supporting high operations-tempo environments with shifting priorities.
• Ability to adhere to stringent security protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
