The Logistics Engineer serves as the liaison between supply chain, operations, engineering, and sales throughout the integrated completions job cycle. This role ensures all materials required for completions jobs—including proppant, frac chemicals, and related services—are delivered to the wellsite safely, on time, and in the most cost-effective manner. The position combines engineering knowledge, operational experience, and technology adoption to support real-time logistics execution, cost optimization, and continuous improvement across operations.
Detailed Description:
• Serve as the primary liaison between supply chain, operations, engineering, and sales throughout the integrated completions job cycle
• Develop and maintain forecasts by analyzing master schedules, customer procedures, and historical usage patterns
• Plan and coordinate supply movements to meet demand with correct timing and quantities
• Develop logistics plans for trucking and material deliveries that minimize total delivered cost while maintaining agility
• Participate in pad mobilization/demobilization planning, pre-frac meetings, and internal readiness meetings
• Monitor real-time job data and collaborate with operational and engineering teams to support field execution
• Adjust forecasts and logistics plans based on daily operations and material consumption
• Leverage digital tools, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency and workflows
• Identify and implement cost-savings and value-add initiatives using total cost of ownership analysis
• Monitor supplier performance using defined metrics and processes
• Support development of improved workflows and machine learning tools for supply chain operations
• Train, advise, and support new engineers and coordinators
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
• Strong analytical and fact-based decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools
• Knowledge of supply chain, logistics planning, and warehouse operations best practices
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Ability to manage priorities, maintain urgency, and respond quickly to operational challenges

• Understanding of safety requirements and compliance standards
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 2–4 years of relevant logistics, supply chain, or engineering experience
• Ability to communicate effectively in English for safety and operations
• Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting oil and gas completions operations
• Knowledge of sand logistics, materials distribution, and supplier coordination
• Experience using digital operations platforms and real-time logistics systems
• Exposure to AI-enabled tools, automation, or machine learning in supply chain environments
• Experience with continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
Additional Details:
This position is primarily office-based with approximately 10% travel to field locations. Work is largely sedentary but requires close coordination with operations teams. Compliance with all company safety policies and procedures is required.
