Reporting to the Director Business Development - Logistics, this position provides analytical support to the Logistics Business Development team within S&TO. In addition, this position provides commercial and contract management support for key commercial logistics agreements.Step into a high-impact role where your analytical skills will contribute to driving the success of Suncor’s third-party logistic operations (3PL)! As a key member of our team, you’ll develop and enhance sophisticated tools to analyze budgets, pipeline tolls, project economics, and volume flows—ensuring our commercial strategies are both robust and forward-thinking. You’ll also support critical annual budgeting, stewardship activities, and contract audits, directly influencing decisions on transportation services worth over $1 billion each year. Minimum Requirements:University degree in business, accounting or economics
5+ years total experience, with 3 or more years being in an analyst or related commercial role
Prior experience with pipelines and connected infrastructure is an asset
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data interpretation
Strong knowledge of economic evaluations principles
Strong communication skills with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to influence without authority
Knowledge of commercial or contract management would be an asset
Maintain and develop models to evaluate commercial offerings of various pipeline projects or proposals.
Support contract changes and negotiations as well as identification and resolution of commercial issues
Support opportunity identification and value capture within existing agreements
Support audits of logistics contracts and assets.
Support annual budgeting process for logistics contracts and assets
Support stewardship of logistics business development activities
Organizing & analyzing data to aid in decision making
Consolidate and communicate market intelligence information related to logistics projects and developments in regions that impact Suncor’s business
This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
