Job Description:
THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION LOCATED IN SPOKANE, WASHINGTON.
Job Description:
Provides a wide variety of clerical/administrative support to the traffic function including.
Clerical role that requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through work experience. Works under limited supervision.
Responsibilities:
Know the machinery being hauled as there are special aspects to protect.
Coordinate with the broker on load plans.
Guide the contractors on loading, securing, and routing of the machinery being hauled.
Coordinate storage when required.
Work with Customs Brokers on International deliveries inbound or outbound.
Examines contents and compares with records to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
Ensures that carriers are notified for freight pick-up and that the freight is routed properly.
Prepares bills of lading and shipping manifests.
Traces shipments and obtains proof of delivery.
May answer inquiries regarding shipping status and expedite shipment when required.
Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
Proficient in MS Office and logistics software
Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple priorities at once
2 years of customer experience
Bachelor's degree preferred
Compensation: $23-28/hourly (DOE)
