Job Opportunity

SWTCH is seeking a Procurement and Logistics Coordinator to support the expansion of our Operations team. Reporting directly to the Manager of Procurement and Logistics, you’ll help with the daily procurement and shipment tasks, ranging from forecasting for business needs to working with our logistics partners. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the operations field, with specific experience working with inventory and shipping carriers and brokers. The SWTCH team is lean, motivated, and driven by our mission to realizing a clean energy future.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Play a vital role in maintaining our internal inventory systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Shipping Support: Assist in packing items and booking shipments to guarantee timely and secure deliveries.
  • Receiving Coordination: Assist in the efficient reception of shipments, ensuring all goods are accounted for and in good condition.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyze inventory and forecasting reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Continuously monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overages.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including Sales, Finance, and Engineering, as well as external stakeholders such as vendors, customers, and carriers.
  • Adaptable Role: Undertake any other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team and organization.

Requirements
  • Demonstrates strong self-motivation and a proactive approach to work.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced operations team.
  • Previous experience in a start-up environment, highlighting adaptability and resourcefulness.
  • Experience in procurement processes, demonstrating an understanding of sourcing, negotiations, and supply chain management.
  • Prior involvement in inventory management.
  • Holds a valid, unrestricted Class G2 driver's license.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds with mechanical assistance.
  • Capable of quickly adapting to change within a fast-moving work environment.
  • Start-Up background is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the EV industry is an asset.
  • Knowledge of inventory software is an asset.
