Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage the daily operations of our supply chain. This individual will be responsible for coordinating shipments, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen understanding of logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Shipment Coordination:

    • Plan, coordinate, and track the shipment of products and materials.

    • Schedule pickups, deliveries, and transportation with freight carriers, suppliers, and vendors.

    • Ensure accurate documentation for shipping, including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs paperwork.

  2. Inventory Management:

    • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking at satellite warehouses.

    • Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate inventory counts.

    • Assist in inventory audits and ensure discrepancies are resolved.

  3. Vendor and Carrier Management:

    • Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to address issues related to shipping delays, damaged goods, or misdeliveries.

    • Build and maintain positive relationships with logistics vendors and freight carriers.

  4. Documentation and Compliance:

    • Prepare shipping documents, such as bills of lading and customs declarations.

    • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to transportation and logistics.

    • Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and logistics operations.

    • Support the adherence to safety standards in warehouse and transportation activities.

  5. Problem Resolution:

    • Investigate and resolve issues related to transportation delays, damaged goods, or other logistical challenges.

    • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues

  6. Reporting and Analytics:

    • Prepare and analyze logistics reports, such as shipment schedules, transportation costs, and delivery performance.

    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure logistics operations align with company goals.

  7. Reporting and Analytics:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the logistics function

    • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance overall efficiency

  8. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless logistics operations.

    • Participate in regular meetings to align logistics activities with overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).

  • Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and freight documentation.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of ERP systems, such as NetSuite or SAP.

  • Experience with import/export processes and customs requirements.

  • Certification in supply chain management or logistics (e.g., APICS, CLTD) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based role with occasional visits to warehouses or distribution centers.

  • May require flexibility in working hours to accommodate shipping schedules.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
