SUMMARY: The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for working with customers and carriers ensuring proper transportation and delivery of products. This role is also the point of contact for any questions or concerns from customers, vendors, and consumers. The role requires attention to detail and being able to problem solve with different Departments on ensuring customer satisfaction.   

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Transportation Coordination 

  • Oversee the scheduling and arrangement of interbranch transfers and manufacturing the distribution of finished products to customers
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to meet requirements and select appropriate carriers when needed

Supply Chain Coordination  

  • Proactively address disruptions in the supply chain to minimize delivery impacts. 
  • Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, warehouses, and other sites to ensure a seamless and efficient supply chain process

Compliance and Documentation 

  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations related to food safety and transportation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, inventory, and transactions
  • Maintain insurance carrier doc - handle claims for carriers due to mishandling 

Quality Control:  

  • Handle quality issues with carriers and warehouses as they arise to ensure standards are maintained throughout the logistics process

Communication 

  • Maintain open lines of communication with customers, warehouses, and carriers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Communicate any delays or issues to customers, warehouses, and relevant departments
  • Act as a liaison between warehouse, customers, sales, and customer service teams

Problem Solving 

  •  Identify and resolve high-priority customer issues related to transportation delays, inventory discrepancies, and supplier performance by coordinating with the warehouse, sales, and carriers. Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate the impact of unforeseen 

Technology Utilization:  

  • Leverage logistics and supply chain management software to monitor and manage transportation effectively

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION: 

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or six (6) years of transportation industry experience 
  • Experience working within food manufacturing, transportation, warehouse, or customer service industries required
  • Proficient in Excel, complaint platforms, Microsoft Suite, and carrier tracking systems.
  • Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish)
  • Willingness to work on call and weekends when necessary
  • Demonstrated experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, particularly in D365
  • Experience in a customer facing role preferred

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT: 

  • Office environment moderately quiet  
  • Frequently standing, walking, sitting, talking, or hearing, 
  • Continually utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Some travel may be required 

  


11AM - 8PM
2 hours of on-call from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM rotate every other week

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree and/or six years of transportation industry experience
  • Experience in food manufacturing, transportation, warehousing, or customer service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, complaint platforms, Microsoft Suite, and carrier tracking systems
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Willingness to work on call and weekends when necessary
  • Bilingual Spanish proficiency
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
