Description
The Logistics Coordinator manages daily supply chain operations, organizing the safe, cost-effective, and timely movement of goods from suppliers to customers. They track shipments, prepare shipping documents, and solve delivery issues while working with carriers and warehouse teams. Position is a combination of office & warehouse environments M-F shift.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily creation of shipping paperwork.
- Assist in directing drivers to correct loading bays and filling out the shipping paperwork.
- Responsible for the daily scanning and filing of the shipping paperwork.
- Assist in any additional office related tasks when needed.
- Assist with product support, customer service, inventory management, & daily operations as needed.
- Assist in addressing material issues, verifying material locations.
- Handle delivery exceptions, damaged goods, or route changes quickly.
Requirements
Required skills/abilities
- Strong ability to handle multiple shipments and deadlines at the same time.
- Clear speaking and writing skills for daily vendor and team contact.
- Self-starter, able to work independently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate and present information to customers, peers, and all levels of management.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, scan gun software, ERP systems.
Education and experience
- College degree in supply chain management or business preferred. High School diploma required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of logistics, customer support, & warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Forklift certification is helpful.
physical requirements
- May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and moving boxes and constant moving and standing
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. .
