Job Description

Lead day-to-day logistics execution for utility-scale solar projects across Europe countries but not limited to. Plan, manage, and control door-to-door multimodal shipments (road, ocean, air) for domestic and international moves—keeping flows aligned to project schedules, budgets, and compliance requirements. Coordinate last-mile activities and deliveries to project sites, manage 3PLs and customs brokers, and keep internal and external stakeholders proactively informed—delivering on-time, identifying cost deviations, and compliant movements from suppliers to job sites, while monitoring cost and service performance and taking corrective actions fast.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply chain coordination

  • Plan, execute, and oversee all logistics activities from suppliers to project sites, ensuring materials align with project schedules and priorities.
  • Control door-to-door flows with a focus on last-mile, including transloading at 3PLs’ warehouses, tautliner road transport, container drayage, and slot arrangements at project sites.

Transportation management

  • Arrange and optimize road/ocean/air shipments to meet delivery deadlines
  • Coordinate last-mile deliveries to project sites ensuring compliance among all stakeholders involved
  • Track deliveries end-to-end and take timely corrective actions on any deviations.

Vendor management

  • Lead day-to-day performance of freight forwarders and customs brokers; ensuring the compliance of SLAs and drive corrective actions.

Compliance & safety

  • Ensure adherence to Incoterms 2020, EU transport regulations and procedures, and site HSE requirements.
  • Be well-versed in shipping documents; validate B/L, invoices, packing lists, COO/EUR.1, certificates, and coordinate customs clearances.

Communication & reporting

  • Maintain clear, timely updates with internal stakeholders (Project Managers, Delivery Managers, etc) and external stakeholders (3PLs, brokers, customers).
  • Maintain daily/weekly reports with current project status and escalations.

Business Systems

  • Keep TMS fully up to date; maintain data accuracy across project execution and history.
  • Use TMS/Anaplan and other visibility tools and advanced Excel

Problem-solving & continuous improvement

  • Proactively identify and resolve logistical challenges.
  • Drive improvement opportunities across the supply chain; comply with and improve SOPs/Work Instructions.
  • Produce project close-outs and lessons-learned reports and others related.

Cost & management

  • Monitor budget vs. actuals and highlight deviations.
  • Own vendor and lane KPIs; implement corrective actions and share learnings across teams.

Qualifications 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, or a related discipline.
•  
 6–8+ years of experience in logistics coordination/operations within industrial, EPC, or energy sectors, ideally involving solar PV projects.
•    Strong knowledge of
EU transportation modes, regulations, and shipping processes (Incoterms® 2020, customs, packaging, etc.).
•    Proven track record managing end-to-end multimodal transportation (road, ocean, air) across Europe.
•    Experience coordinating 3PLs, customs brokers, suppliers, and last-mile deliveries to project sites.
•    Demonstrated ability to manage SLAs, monitor KPIs, and drive vendor performance.
•    Proficient in TMS, ERP systems, Anaplan, and advanced Microsoft Excel; experience with OTM will be considered an advantage.
•    Languages:
Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is required; other European languages are a plus.
•    Willingness to travel occasionally to sites, ports, warehouses, customers, and suppliers

Skills Required
