Job DescriptionScope of position:
Business professional with the highest level of Customs Service skills that can maintain centralized ownership of Critical Logistics Center clients from booking to delivery for all air export, transcon and import shipments.
Operations and Customer Service Expectations:
· Monitor shipment by shipment, proactive handling of press shipments.
· Provide real-time updates of shipment milestones as needed.
· Proactive communication of delays.
· Provide superior customer service.
· Follow the escalation path for any exceptions.
· One point of contact for all air export/import, brokerage and transcon shipments.
· Process all operational functions from booking to delivery.
· Coordinate with local/international branches to ensure the smooth flow of press shipments.
· Coordinate hand carry shipments both international and domestic.
· Ensure teams are maintaining and updating SOP’s.
· Ensure Emails are acknowledged in 15 minutes.
· Ensure phone calls are answered 24 hours per day.
· Responsible for updating transportation and brokerage related events.
Finance
· Ensure every shipment is billed properly.
· Ensure contracts with 3rd party hand carry companies are executed, billed and paid.
· Maintain account rates and tariffs. Distribute rate information as needed.
· Manage import, export and Transcon billing.
Systems
· Consolidate notes/opportunities for improvement from business reviews.
· Continually seek improvement in procedures and services to create more efficient and cost-effective operations.
· Continually search for cost saving within Expeditors.
· Communicate technology updates and tools proactively.
Transition and Retention
· Develop and strengthen relationships with CLC clients in order to gain more opportunities.
· Work with sales team, supervisor, manager, and customer retention team to facilitate client development.

· Heavy focus on providing world class customer service. Shipments are not managed by exception; they are individually controlled from pickup through delivery.
Hours:
Hours – 10-hour shifts – one of the three below:
a) 8 am to 7 pm
b) 10 am to 9 PM
c) 1 PM to midnight
4 Day work week – following biweekly alternating schedule.
QualificationsExperience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in operations.
Proven track record of superior customer service.
Energetic drive to meet client’s needs.
Highly developed organizational skills and sense of urgency.
Someone with Transcon Experience is a plus.
