Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to oversee our parcel freight operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient shipment of parcels to our customers, while maintaining high standards of service quality and cost-effectiveness.
What you'll get to do:
- Parcel Shipment Coordination: Coordinate outbound parcel shipments from our facilities to customers, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Carrier Management: Build and maintain relationships with parcel carriers, validating rates and service agreements to optimize cost and service levels.
- Shipment Tracking and Monitoring: Monitor the status of outbound shipments, tracking deliveries and addressing any claims or delays promptly.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all shipment documentation is accurate and complete, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and export documentation, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records for outgoing parcels, coordinating with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure sufficient stock levels for outbound shipments.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze outbound logistics performance metrics, such as on-time delivery rates and transportation costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Customer Communication: Liaise with customers regarding shipment status, providing proactive updates and addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve outbound logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Other responsibilities and projects as assigned
Qualifications
Who you are:
- 2+ years of experience in the logistics industry or related industry
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, relational databases, and Microsoft D365
- Strong understanding of parcel shipping processes, carriers, and industry best practices.
- Strong attention to detail
- Great interpersonal skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

The hourly range for this role is $24/hr. - $28/hr.
