Responsibilities:
- Organize transportation and coordinate deliveries to meet customer demand.
- Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another and be responsible for all aspects of order logging, routing, shipping, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders.
- Send out the daily appointment schedule.
- Coordinate routing activities and track transportation vehicles.
- Take measures to prevent quality control issues.
- Manage activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to ensure deadlines are met.
- Continuously review freight costs, transportation rates, to keep costs down whenever possible.
- Book transportation trucks with current brokers/carriers, measure their performance, set pickup appointments, and confirm rates.
- Assist with all customer rejections and direct the truck to disposition locations, supporting the investigation process until resolved.
- Book appointments with customers via web portal/phone/email.
- Support and work with Shipping and Receiving Clerks as needed.
- Maintain all truck line relationships and orders.
- Ensure compliance with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, environmental policies, and government regulations.
- Provide administrative support to the traffic function.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities related to the work area as needed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel and High proven computer skills
- Ability to analyze data and understand connections.
- Ability to manage and optimize the flow of products and resources throughout the supply chain, from acquisition to distribution.
- Skill in planning transportation routes and scheduling deliveries, always aiming for efficiency and cost savings.
- Coordination and execution of logistics strategies to ensure the timely delivery of products and process efficiency.
- Management of the receipt, storage, distribution, and dispatch of goods.
- Management of documentation related to logistics operations, such as purchase orders, invoices, and inventory reports.
- Quick and effective decision-making in high-pressure situations, managing human and material resources to resolve unforeseen issues.
Education and Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
